The OCC just dropped a 47-page debanking report on nine of the biggest national banks and somehow left the adult industry off the page entirely. Last year’s preliminary look named adult media as one of the sectors getting screened or escalated for “values” reasons. This one focuses on coal, firearms, crypto, MAGA merch, and political-right friction while skipping the performers and companies who have been bounced for years. The report still flags the same problems—opaque reputation-risk rules, no clear explanations, poor communication—that creators know cold. Stripchat lost its EU court fight to wipe the past VLOP designation. The General Court said the Commission could rely on the Similarweb numbers available in late 2023 even though those numbers were later revised downward and the VLOP status was later lifted. That leaves the supervisory fees and any past DSA exposure on the table. Stripchat can still appeal. The 45-million-monthly-EU-user threshold just got a little stickier for the rest of the big cam and tube platforms still arguing the same point.

Britain is moving from paper bans to actual monitoring. The government tapped the BBFC for a pilot to test whether it can audit online porn for illegal and “extreme” content the same way it rates films. At the same time, new rules kick in early November making possession or publication of strangulation/suffocation depictions, incest-roleplay, or adults role-playing under 16 illegal. Texas and Florida lead the count; several states get coverage for the first time. Collection fee is standardized so the price is the same everywhere.
