Waterfront lot
Dusk, open asphalt, water and a low skyline behind her. She is wedged between a red SUV with the hatch up and a red sedan, sandals already off.
The white string bottoms come down one leg at a time. She turns, settles the front, then lifts the star-print top over her head. For a few seconds she is topless in a public lot, trucks and a van still parked along the water. Nobody walks up. She does not hurry.
Black SUV, driver door
Pavers, shade trees, a black Expedition with the driver door swung wide. She starts in a black string bikini, shoes already on the ground.
The top comes off at the open door. She stands there topless, handling the straps, then reaches in for a cream patterned cover-up and holds it in front of her chest. The bottoms stay on. The door is the only cover she uses.
Red Ford, brick lot
Red SUV, brick pavers and a big tree. She is in a black string set, sandals beside the white parking line.
She unties the top, drops it, and stays topless while she pulls a pale yellow daisy crop from the seat. The shirt goes on over her head and gets tugged down. The black bottoms never move. Cars pass on the road behind the trees.
Palm street, hatch open
Bright day, palms, houses, the red hatch standing open. She is in a pale string bikini and white sandals, bags visible in the trunk.
She steps out of the bottoms, holds them, and says she thinks she has to go to the gym. Then she steps back into them and pulls them up. The top stays on. The street does not.
Four lots. Two tops off, one bottom off and back on, one full roadside change. That is the week.
